According to sources, a problem between Windows Media servers and FairUse4DRM has currently crippled live Windows Media DRM abilities. If users try strip DRM from a file that references a live stream, FairUse4DRM essentially destroys the the DRM on the Windows Media server and renders the feed useless for other users. Technicians are purportedly scrambling frantically now to fix the problem, but sources say the glitch remains a mystery:
my DRM management console has said this for 3 days:
10AM PST Known issue : DRM systems are currently being investigated for authentication problems. We expect this to be resolved quickly.
Clearly they’re not moving quickly enough. Three days out and still no resolution. Has anyone been noticing any problems related to this error?
