Got a chance to look at the NeoNode, an odd little device that is essentially a GSM cellphone designed solely for media. It has an optical touchscreen and runs Windows CE under a massively overhauled shell. It can play back video and music and is quite small, about 2 inches by 2 inches. No U.S. availability but it looks like it will hit Europe in May.
I talked to the CEO of the company and was quite impressed. It’s just a music phone and it looks like it does the things its supposed to do quite well.
The only thing on the front is that little joystick nubbin. The rest of the device is all touchscreen and gesture based. Not sure what to make of it.
