“Big things come in small packages.” That seems to hold true for Sony’s latest digital camera or so they want you to believe. The Cyber-shot DSC-H3 boasts an 8-megapixel sensor and a whopping 10x optical zoom. The selling point here is the HD output and the built-in slide show function, which is great, but you’ll have to dish out a few more greenbacks ($40) if you want the VMC-MHC1 HD component cable. If you have eight kids then the H3 is perfect because that’s how many faces it can detect and you can see all their pretty mugs on the 2.5-inch LCD. Sony’s OIS makes an appearance as well as an ISO setting up to 3200. The H3 ships next month for about $300 with pre-orders starting tomorrow.
