Reminder: Please use your laptop ergonomically


Oh man, the Wall Street Journal sure is concerned about your Health and Well-being. It seems that laptop sales have, for the first time in recorded history, have overtaken desktop sales. That’s bad news because laptops encourage people to sit in all sorts of unhealthy positions and develop poor computer-using habits. (“Golly gee, why don’t I surf YouTube all night while sitting on the small of my back and eating a a hoagie.)

As such, the WSJ has a whole host of tips on how to make the most of your shiny, new laptop, the healthy way! For example, ideally you’d only be hunched over your laptop for shorts amount of time (and even then you’d be sitting up straight with your arms making a 90-degree angle with the desk, or whatever). Other than that, it’s the same tips you’ve heard over and over again about using computers ergonomically: use an external mouse and keyboard (because laptop keyboards are too cramped); consider an external display (because laptop ones are, again, too small for their own good, causing you to squint).
